The Library

The Library of Kokkola was built in 1999.
There is about 325 000 books in the library in 10 different languages.
The building itself costed about 16 million euros.




Sebastian Pesola is employed in the library of Kokkola. He has been working there for 6 months, and when we asked him how he liked it, his point was very clear;- ”This is a good place to work. Lots of cheap coffee and I like the silence.”He has learned many new things while he has been working in the library, for example that the ”Anna” – magazine is published once a week. In the future he would like to see himself working at the library. ”- I have always wanted to be a "bibbatant", says Pesola. Now I can organize all the books, but also CD's and magazines”.
Sebastian thinks that the driving of the library bus "exlibris" is very fun and exciting.
